Genesis CEI Awarded First CEI Incentive Contract with FDOT for Exceeding Performance Grades

Posted on 2016-01-11 by Brice Pinson

The Genesis Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Crestview, Florida, was recently awarded a $10 million Interstate 10 resurfacing project by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in District Three as an incentive for meeting performance grading criteria on Group 16-E projects. The Group 16-E projects included:

  • SR 8 (I-10) from Santa Rosa County Line to CR 189 ($3M)
  • SR 10 (US-90) from Summertime Drive to SR 4 ($2.3M)
  • SR 10 (US 90) from Shoal River to the Walton County Line ($1M)

The CEI contract originally consisted of three projects which included an incentive clause providing that if the CEI performance grades were a minimum of 4.1 out of 5 or higher, the incentive project would be added to the contract.

The Crestview team exceeded that grading threshold and in doing so, was awarded the incentive project. The additional contact will add another year of services. This is the first CEI Incentive Contract in the State.

Please join us in congratulating the Group 16-E team of Bryan Keeney, Elizabeth Graham, Greg Edmondson, Sonny Edmondson, Ty Owens (Trans-State DBE Inspector), Robin Moody, Shawn Moore, and Mike Graham!
