Genesis is pleased to announce that three projects have received awards from the American Public Works Association (APWA) Big Bend Chapter.
|The Franklin Boulevard project was recognized for its success in transforming a flood-prone,heavily used roadway in Tallahassee into an attractive, user-friendly multi-modal transportation corridor and effective stormwater management facility.|
|The Gaines Street project, a revitalization of a heavily used corridor connecting Florida State Uni-versity, Florida A&M University and the Florida Capitol,was recognized for its success in exceeding goals by transforming the roadway to a multi-modal facility and attracting significant new development to GainesStreet and adjacent properties.|
|The I-10 Interchanges project was recognized for beautifying three key interchanges in Leon County by effectively applying Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) “Bold Landscape” principles. By planting large trees and selecting other low maintenance plant materials, the Genesis Landscape Architecture team's design produced immediate visual impact and achieved the client's goal of sustainability.|
